Tom Taber Duck

Tom Taber is a world-renowned hunter who started producing wildlife wood carvings over 20 years ago. His work has been featured by Ducks Unlimited among others and is sought after by collectors.  Born and raised in Michigan, Tom was raised in a family filled with waterfowlers that hunted the flyway that ran through Michigan.  His uncle introduced him to duck hunting and they always hunted over decoys carved by his uncle.

A hallmark of Tom Taber duck carvings is often the seasoned old wood that will have worm holes and other characteristics known to be a part of all old wood.  In addition, the way that he stains and paints the decoys also in unique and adds a touch of differentiation when compared to other carvings.

As stated earlier, Tom Taber carvings have been selected several times by Ducks Unlimited to serve as items to auction off, be their decoys of the year and other honors.  This is truly because his work sets him apart from the crowd.  Check out a Tom Taber decoy today and add it to your collection.
